Hey there! I am a recent graduate of Princeton (class of 2018), where I majored in German, focusing my studies on literature, with a bit of philosophy thrown in. I am currently tutoring several students in SAT Math. While I was a strong math student in high school, I have never considered myself a 'math person', as my central interests have always tended more towards the humanities side of things, and some mathematical concepts didn't come to me as easily as others. I believe that this background, along with my outgoing nature, helps me to better connect with students and explain concepts, in turn helping them overcome their difficulties and improve their SAT math scores.
Outside of my academic and tutoring interests, I am a jazz trumpet player and pianist. I currently reside in the Princeton area, doing some part-time work as a research assistant for a couple Princeton German professors and as a part-time manager/publicist for a touring jazz musician in the Graduate Composition Program at Princeton, in addition to pursuing my own musical projects. I am passionate about music, German, literature, and art and intellectual discourse broadly speaking. Behind all my passions lies a spirit of curiosity and a love for learning. I believe these are not qualities innate to my character but things I have learned from teachers and mentors I have been fortunate to encounter thus far in my life. I hope to inspire students to succeed by sharing my love for learning and helping them to develop a strong work ethic to eventually apply to whatever their individual passions may be.
