Hi! My name is Madeleine, and I'm an undergraduate at Princeton University from the Bay Area in California. In high school, my greatest passion was practicing martial arts; I was a black belt and instructor at Dojo USA in San Bruno. In my final year of high school, I spent a lot of time tutoring students from elementary school to high school in various subjects (especially math and Spanish). I also taught self-defense classes for women at my local rec center.
I believe that the bond between a tutor and their tutee is hugely valuable in today's world, when so many students feel discouraged by distant professors or challenging classes. The right tutor is one that helps students recognize their aptitude and feel confident both inside and outside of the classroom. I look forward to helping students undergo this transformation with Princeton Tutoring.
In my free time, I love to practice karate, run, and rock climb. My major is undecided, but I'm looking into the computer science and international relations programs here at Princeton.
