My name is Joanna, and I am undergraduate at Princeton University majoring in Computer Science and getting a certificate in Neuroscience. I am also a violinist and I am a part of the Princeton University Orchestra, Princeton Camerata, and Trenton Youth Orchestra. I love classical music as well as the occasional pop and am obsessed with Grey’s Anatomy!
I have been tutoring since my senior year of high school, and have taught students from all across the US, in person and online. As a tutor, I primarily teach Math, with levels ranging from Algebra I to SAT/ACT Math. I also tutor high school chemistry. I mostly teach students in middle or high school, but am open to teach students that are younger / older.
I enjoy tutoring because I find the overall experience very rewarding. I love being able to spread and share my knowledge, as well as my personal experience in academics. Growing up as a first-generation college student and the eldest of three, I was oftentimes forced to seek answers myself and pass them along to my sisters. However, I believe no student should have to go through that process alone, which is why I became a tutor. I fell in love with it because I am able to help and guide many throughout their academic journeys.
