Hi! My name is Jackson and I am a Princeton undergrad from Maine. I initially started tutoring through a mentorship program in high school, and then gained extensive teaching experience during a gap year abroad. I participated in the Princeton Bridge Year Program in Bolivia, where I taught math and English for seven months to students from the 4th to the 12th grade. My time in Bolivia showed me how rich and fulfilling the process of teaching is. I remember myriad situations when I was struggling to understand a concept, but then someone took the time to show me a fresh way to approach it, and gave me the tools to develop my own understanding. I want to take the time collaborate with other students and help them to develop new and exciting ways to think about whatever it is that they are working on! My favorite subjects include English, writing, history, and Spanish, but I am also well-versed at tutoring basic-algebra and math among other subjects. At Princeton I am currently planning to study in the Wilson School, and upon graduation I want to attend law school. Outside of class, I love to travel, play sports, read, hike, and watch movies.
