I have taught students in a variety of subjects throughout my middle and high school career. I instructed art classes for K-7th grade students at a private studio for four months, tutored math at my high school, and taught elementary school students. From helping students with SATs to art, I believe I have great experience in tutoring and genuinely care about maximizing students’ ability and potential to succeed.
My most rewarding experience of tutoring students was when I tutored Algebra II in high school. I sacrificed my free period to help students who were struggling with math. One student told me that my one-hour tutoring session helped her learn more about the subject than the one quarter of math classes taught by her teacher. Because I am somewhat of a slow learner, I believe I have skills and tips that can help any student easily remember notes and solve problems.
I am a very bubbly and energetic student who is easy to talk to. Because I have taught a wide range of ages and in languages other than English, I am confident teaching any student as long as he or she is determined to learn.
