Hello! I graduated from Princeton University in May 2021 with a degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE). I am currently continuing my studies in MAE through the Master’s of Engineering program here at Princeton University.
I am an avid rock climber, and I am quite active in the outdoors in my free time. I also enjoy playing guitar, and board games. I love talking about outdoor activities, sports, travel, music, or anything related to outer space or astronomy.
I grew up in rural Maine surrounded by the outdoors, so much of my experience and skills in teaching and instruction has its roots in outdoor education. I believe this background helps me connect more fully with my students and teach in a more dynamic, hands-on, tailored style. Here at Princeton, I have translated these skills to tutoring more academically focused material. I specialize in subjects related to math and physics, as well as STEM subjects in general. I also cover test prep (SSAT, PSAT, SAT), as well as subjects outside of STEM, such as English and US history.
My tutoring philosophy is rooted in flexibility, engagement, comfort, and most important of all, individually tailored understanding. I try to be flexible with my time, teaching styles and material, and I aim to make my sessions as engaging and interactive as possible. Furthermore, I aim to create a level of comfort not only between myself and my students, but also between my students and the material covered by taking intimidating concepts and breaking them down into more approachable steps. Finally, I try to leave my students with a toolbox tailored to their specific needs and strengths that doesn’t just teach them how to solve a specific problem, but rather, a multitude of related problems.
I look forward to working with you, and please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns!
