Hello! My name is Ellie, and I’m a current undergraduate at Harvard University pursuing a B.A. in Biomedical Engineering with a Citation in Chinese Language. I grew up in Princeton, NJ and attended the Lawrenceville School in Lawrence Township, NJ for high school. In high school, I was nominated for the 2021 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, taught music lessons to local children, served as an editor on several school publications, played squash, won several (inter)national piano competitions, and contributed to original molecular genetics research in partnership with the Seung Kim Laboratory at Stanford Medical School. In terms of tutoring, I believe that writing is a universal skill. In an attempt to teach the strategies and nuances of good writing, I specialize in tutoring/assisting students with analytical papers and college application essays. Additionally, I curated very efficient studying strategies in high school that allowed me to receive a perfect score on the ACT with only two weeks of preparation. In addition to efficiency, I believe that a particular emphasis on organization and time management is essential to any young person’s success. In the past, I have assisted peers in essay editing and tutored local students in mathematics, essay-writing, and test prep. My little sisters, too, often turn to me for assistance when given difficult assignments in school, so I am well-acquainted with helping both younger children and high school students. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
