Hi! I’m Danielle, and I’m a potential Molecular Biology major. I am planning to pursue medicine in the future and am interested childcare, global health, and research. From volunteering with pediatric patients, to investigating muscle development in the lab, I have always found science to be intriguing and challenging. I am deeply involved in the arts as well — I am a dancer for contemporary, hip-hop, and latin dance groups on campus, and am working on my own choreography. In spare time between studying and dancing, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, going for runs, and baking.
I have always found that the best way to understand a topic is to reteach it. I have tutored middle school and high school students in entrance exams, the SAT, AP Biology, AP Physics, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, and other subjects. Working in study hall groups and as an individual peer tutor, I embrace tutoring as a challenge to my own comprehension, and as a rewarding experience in helping others succeed. Aside from learning content, I strive to help my tutees with problem solving strategies and developing time management and organizational skills. I aim to strengthen each student’s individual learning style, to make sure that they succeed in a classroom setting as well as retain the information and skills for future use. I hope to not only be a tutor for my student, but also a mentor, and a friend as well.
