I study Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Princeton but when I'm not problem setting for my classes, I really appreciate music, in a large variety of genres, and am happily involved in an a cappella group on campus; I love singing with them in Princeton and on our domestic and international tours.
I am strongest in all levels of math but I also like physics and am currently tutoring for a general physics course at Princeton. I have previously tutored students of varying ages from second grade to eleventh grade with homework, trigonometry, algebra 2, AP Computer Science, etc.
I really enjoy tutoring because I've done it for years with my younger sisters and it gives me a special sense of fulfillment. I also know what it feels like to be confused, to not keep up with what's going on in class, and to be lost because when I came from Seoul to NYC in 5th grade, I didn't know any English. But this means that I also know how it feels to persist and understand after I've struggled and sought and received help – I want to be the person who can help you feel that for yourself. It truly changes how you think about learning when you know that you can understand with enough persistence and the right teaching approach, and it is exciting for me to know that I can be part of that journey for you.
I went to a specialized math and science high school where I discovered my passion for math and physics, and in college I've realized my passion for their applied principles in mechanical engineering. In the future, I'd like to combine those interests with entrepreneurship and business and hopefully, create my own company.
That is a little bit about me, I look forward to meeting you and getting to know you!
