Hello All! I am a graduate of Tufts University, class of 2015. I majored in Economics and Biopsychology, which highlights my wide range of academic interests. I will be attending William & Mary Law School in Fall 2017. During the years in between, I worked as a paralegal for a large securities law firm in New York City. I have been very interested in law since beginning my undergraduate career, and I am excited to continue exploring that subject in the near future.
Teaching and mentoring young students has always been something I enjoy. As an Eagle Scout, I mentored younger scouts through the ranks, serving as a teacher and guide as they progressed in scouting. That meant teaching not only first aid and fire-building, but also the values of teamwork, preparation, and respect. I have also had classroom teaching experience with Peer Health Exchange. I traveled to public high schools in the Boston area, teaching health education to students from 9th-12th grade. This really helped me understand the classroom atmosphere, and challenged me to connect with students with experiences vastly different from my own. You need to respect the student, but also ensure that you stay on task and project authority.
As I mentioned previously, I have experience in a wide range of subjects. My strongest subjects are Economics, Math, Biology, Psychology, Chemistry, English, and any test preparation necessary. With students, I like to see where they are individually and try to focus on instilling discipline and belief first. As a tutor, I am a stepping stool for your child to reach their potential, and I want to make sure that the student has an independent grasp of concepts before moving forward in any subject.
I look forward to hearing from you!
