Hi! My name is Alex, and I study Statistics and Economics at Harvard College. I’m from San Jose, California, and I first began tutoring two years ago. I have over a year of experience teaching computer science, and I feel most confident tutoring statistics, math, and other STEM fields. I love learning about all subjects, though, and tutoring has given me the opportunity to connect with so many other people over a mutual academic passion. Outside of tutoring and academics, I spend a lot of my time drinking iced coffee, going to the gym, seeing friends, or playing the violin. When I was in high school, I competed in music competitions around the world, and I have been teaching violin lessons for over two years now. Earned a Pre-College Diploma in Violin Performance at the San Francisco Conservatory, took piano lessons, played club badminton, and took swim lessons outside of school.

Off campus, I volunteer as the Associate Director of Finance and Fundraising of Through the Staff, a nonprofit that provides over $60,000 of free musical education to underfunded communities.
