Our recruiting process is selective and rigorous.
The vast majority of our tutors are Princeton University undergraduates or graduates.
Applicants undergo a selective screening process and several rounds of interviews which include live case-study questions.
They also personally meet with one of our co-founders to ensure a good fit.
Once hired, all tutors are trained and receive regular professional development and support from our team.
Through this process, we are able to cultivate tutors who possess all of the following attributes:

Our tutors are the brightest college students and graduates in the world.
They are high school valedictorians, National AP Scholars, and 99+%tile SAT/ACT scorers.
They are Princeton Dean’s List recipients, Phi Beta Kappa, and Shapiro Prize winners.
They are published and award winning writers.
They are fluent in multiple languages and have impressive accomplishments across academics, athletics, and the arts.
2. Teaching Excellence
There is a significant difference between knowing the material and being able to teach it.
Our tutors are great communicators and have proven themselves able teachers.
Several are former teachers or intend to pursue careers in teaching upon graduating.
They have conducted independent study and research in education, and have studied various learning and teaching techniques.
They all have private tutoring experience, but have also taught both small and large groups.
Our tutors have a genuine passion for teaching. Outside of Princeton Tutoring, they teach ESL and volunteer with organizations serving underprivileged and at-risk children.
3. Ability to Relate
A tutoring relationship will only be successful if your child is comfortable with their tutor.
We evaluate a tutor’s ability to relate to their students by considering their personality, leadership qualities, and interests.
Our tutors are former and current mentors and peer counselors. They have founded campus organizations and school magazines.
They are actively involved in community service, and have been recognized by organizations such as the UN for their work.
They are varsity athletes and team captains in tennis, track and field, cross country, field hockey, soccer, and crew. They are accomplished dancers, clarinetists, and flutists.
In short, they are top-notch mentors for your child.
