Lindsey

Hi! My name is Lindsey, and I graduated from Harvard with a degree in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology, along with a language citation in Spanish. I am currently a medical school applicant, set to matriculate in the fall of 2025.

During undergrad, I conducted symbiosis research at the University of Hawai’i and worked on hematopoiesis and melanoma research at Boston Children’s Hospital. Additionally, I served as the social media manager and assistant for Indigenous media platforms, All My Relations Podcast and Project 562. My contributions included writing podcast episode descriptions, creating social media posts, and assisting with draft profiles for the New York Times Bestseller, “Project 562: Changing The Way We See Native America”.

After graduating, I was awarded the Frederick Sheldon Purposeful Travel Fellowship from Harvard, which supported my two-part postgraduate project focused on personal cultural reconnection. I spent 9 months at Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo learning the Tewa language, traditional pottery, and ceremonial dance. Following that, I transitioned to Mexico City, where I practiced my salsa and bachata skills while enhancing my Spanish fluency.

I especially enjoy tutoring in biology, chemistry, and college essay writing. My experience in crafting persuasive narratives from interviews and personal stories equips me to help college applicants create unique, impactful essays.

In my free time, I like to dance, run, hike, practice ceramics, and read in hammocks.

As someone who benefited from tutoring and study groups in college, I understand that different explanations resonate with different learners. I adjust my teaching style to meet each student’s needs. I’m also happy to share advice about the pre-med journey, including coursework, research, clinical experience, and the MCAT and PREview exams. I’m excited to support students in their academic journeys!
