Hi! My name is Emma and I am a writer and teacher. I have an MFA in Creative Writing from Syracuse University and a BA in English from Bates College. I have taught a wide range of subjects and ages over the last ten years, from college essay writing to 4th grade Math to undergraduate academic and creative writing. I have been trained in the pedagogy of progressive education and believe that learning should be fun, empowering, and collaborative. I prioritize relationship-building with my students and want them to feel comfortable bringing their full selves to the table.
I am currently pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at Harvard and in my free time, I love to be outside, write, play the cello, and look for good swimming holes.
