Hello! My name is Alycia. I grew up in the California Bay Area, and I’m currently an undergraduate at Harvard concentrating in Physics and Art, Film, & Visual Studies (AFVS) with a minor in Computer Science. Growing up, my teachers had a transformative impact on my goals, sense of self, and academic achievement, and I seek to do the same for the students that I teach. I have experience tutoring students in essay writing, SAT/ACT prep, STEM subjects (Math, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, and Biology are my main areas), and Speech & Debate.
Whether it’s breaking down complex topics or helping students express themselves through their writing, I strive to teach in a way that creates engagement with the subject matter and builds the skills and confidence for students to work independently in the future. Outside of the classroom, I love to play soccer, make films and read sci-fi.
