My name is Swathi, and I am an undergrad at MIT majoring in computer science. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA (go Steelers!), but I still haven’t adjusted to the cold winters that Boston has to offer.
I love working with students of all ages and have been a tutor/instructor since my freshman year of high school. Subjects that I enjoy teaching include math, computer science, and test preparation. Recently, I spent a month in Jerusalem teaching Israeli and Palestinian students web development!
At MIT, I am involved in my sorority, the Undergraduate Association’s Public Affairs committee, and am a board member of the Asian American Association. I also do CS research and am an associate advisor for students in the EECS department.
Outside of classes, I love going to concerts, watching the Steelers and the Celtics play, and consuming unhealthy amounts of coffee and ice cream. In my free time, you can find me watching Netflix, ruining my sleep cycle for no reason, trying new foods, or doing all three at the same time.
