Alex

Hey! I’m Alex and I graduated from Princeton University as a mechanical and aerospace engineering major, with a focus on robotics and computer science. I’m most interested in autonomous navigation and I hope to work in that field someday.

At Princeton, I discovered and honed a passion for mentorship that led to my involvement in lots of peer leader roles on campus, mainly focused on supporting first-years’ transition to college. As an orientation leader, a residential college adviser, and a tutor/mentor volunteer, I gained invaluable insight into how to bring the best out of others.

My approach as a tutor is holistic – one which recognizes each student as an individual and acknowledges the opportunity for growth in more than just academics. Despite my STEM-centered background, I’ve always had broad interests beyond my field of study, which is why I chose Princeton over other technical institutions. Outside of my major, I love studying/talking about philosophy, foreign language, and performing arts.

I love playing soccer, trying new baking recipes, and enjoying the outdoors. One summer, I backpacked in 13 different national parks in California, Washington, Utah, etc.
