Zoe

Hello! My name is Zoe and I’m from Miami, Florida. As an undergraduate student at Princeton University, I plan on majoring in Public & International Affairs with certificates (Princeton’s versions of minors!) in Chinese Language and East Asian Studies. At Princeton, I compete on the Mock Trial and Model United Nations Teams. I also organize events and activities as Co-Social Chair for the Rockefeller College Council. In high school, I was extremely involved with Speech & Debate, serving as Congressional Debate Captain and competing in the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) Nationals in 2018, 2019, and 2020. In addition to graduating Cum Laude, I have the honor of being a Questbridge Scholar.
I have spent a significant amount of time tutoring, teaching, and coaching since the start of high school and found that I appreciate the opportunity to use what I’ve learned to help others. From teaching rising middle schoolers English through Breakthrough Miami to proudly seeing my underclassmen in Debate learn how to present themselves, I find it rewarding to make a positive impact in the lives of those who push themselves to succeed. I have tutored a variety of subjects, but I most enjoy and am strongest at tutoring social sciences and analytical thinking/comprehension. I have particularly extensive experience working with students on improving their academic writing. Pursuing a certificate in Chinese Language and having studied Mandarin for 8 years, I am also interested in tutoring Mandarin.
