Sometimes, as a student-athlete, I feel like I’m working two full-time jobs, both of which consume my whole life. On one hand, I am an Economics major at Princeton University, pursuing three minor programs in French, Asian-American Studies, and Gender and Sexuality Studies, while also actively participating in various student groups. On the other hand, I am an international fencer who represents both my university and my country. I have learned a lot while balancing these two different parts of my life: time management, effective study habits, communication, and most importantly (in my opinion), grit. As a tutor, I hope to impart these skills onto my students. As an econ major with a strong background in English and French, I love to work with students who are interested in improving their critical reading skills. Critical reasoning is something that is applicable in their lives as they grow up in a world of “alternative facts” and fast-paced media.
