I first started my tutoring career in the 7th grade, when I volunteered at the Booker T. Washington school in New York City. Though early on in my academic career, I supervised and tutored young children, helping them with their nightly homework. Years and programs have gone by, but my sentiment is largely the same. No matter where you are in your academic career, and no matter how good you are in the material, tutoring can always help. I strongly believe in that mantra, and was the beneficiary of it throughout my middle school, high school, and college years. Such a simple request — asking for help — can do wonders. It has allowed me to succeed and thrive in my boarding school environment and continues to help me in my collegiate career. And with every bit of help I receive, I am eager to return the favor. For the past several years, I have tutored in public schools, for private employers, and in my respective middle and high schools. Princeton Tutoring is another wonderful institution that allows a platform for tutoring and learning, and I am eager to help in any way I can.
