Hello! My name is Tim, and I'm a recent graduate from Princeton's programs in psychology and neuroscience. I am currently conducting research within the University of Virgina, but I am excited to work with students remotely.
As the first member of my family to go to college, I was raised to make the most out of my education —since childhood, I’ve considered the learning process to be really important (and even fun!). Accordingly, I’ve found that mentoring and teaching younger students helps me to share my love for learning with others. Especially as a future neuroscientist, I'm genuinely excited by new ideas and spreading them to others, so teaching is one of my great passions.
As a tutor, I'm happy to work with students on any math- or science-related subjects (including genetics, math, biochemistry, statistics, or related fields) because of their relevance to my own lab work and education. However, I'm also an experienced writing tutor from Princeton's Writing Center (and have worked with over 200 writing students there over the past several years) – so I'd be equally happy to help a student with SAT prep or essay writing.
(Of course, I'd be more than willing to share my experiences going through the college application process, preparing for a career in medicine, working in a lab, or even studying abroad at the University of Oxford with any interested student as well!)
