Honor Roll, 2nd Place in Math Olympiad (Dniepropetrovsk, Ukraine, 8th Grade),
I am originally from Ukraine. Currently, I am teaching Calculus, Honors Calculus, and AP Calculus BC, and Honors Algebra II at a college preparatory school in Lawrenceville. I also have taught Honors Geometry and Precalculus in the past. I love mathematics. (Living with my mother who is a math teacher, I grew up in a world filled with rulers and protractors). I earned a "Recognition of Excellence" letter from the Praxis Administration for my score on the Praxis II "Mathematics Content" test. Being a hard working individual, I welcome the opportunity to share my knowledge in mathematics.

Hello All! I am a graduate of Tufts University, class of 2015. I majored in Economics and Biopsychology, which highlights my wide range of academic interests. I will be attending William & Mary Law School in Fall 2017. During the years in between, I worked as a paralegal for a large securities law firm in New York City. I have been very interested in law since beginning my undergraduate career, and I am excited to continue exploring that subject in the near future. Teaching and mentoring young students has always been something I enjoy. As an Eagle Scout, I mentored younger scouts through the ranks, serving as a teacher and guide as they progressed in scouting. That meant teaching not only first aid and fire-building, but also the values of teamwork, preparation, and respect. I have also had classroom teaching experience with Peer Health Exchange. I traveled to public high schools in the Boston area, teaching health education to students from 9th-12th grade. This really helped me understand the classroom atmosphere, and challenged me to connect with students with experiences vastly different from my own. You need to respect the student, but also ensure that you stay on task and project authority. As I mentioned previously, I have experience in a wide range of subjects. My strongest subjects are Economics, Math, Biology, Psychology, Chemistry, English, and any test preparation necessary. With students, I like to see where they are individually and try to focus on instilling discipline and belief first. As a tutor, I am a stepping stool for your child to reach their potential, and I want to make sure that the student has an independent grasp of concepts before moving forward in any subject. I look forward to hearing from you!

AP Scholar with Distinction, National Merit Scholar Semi-finalist, Princeton High School English Department Award, Duke Jacobs Scholar Athlete Award, Ayn Rand The Fountainhead Essay Contest Finalist
I have experience working with students of all ages, in a variety of settings. In the past, I have coached beginner's tennis, and volunteered at the Princeton Arts Council and at Westminster Choir College to assist with children's art and music classes. I have also tutored the SAT, English, Biology, and other subjects. I enjoy tutoring because I truly believe, as the adage goes, that knowledge is power and that there is something to appreciate in every subject, even if it's not necessarily a favorite. Moreover, I remember how difficult the transition to the Princeton School System was for me when I moved to Princeton in middle school, and I want to help students facing similar struggles and show them that, although a subject may be challenging, hard work does pay off and success in a difficult class is not impossible. At Haverford, my major is still undecided, but I plan on majoring in either Comparative Literature or English. In addition, I am taking pre-med courses because I would like to become a surgeon and potentially work with Doctors Without Borders (or, in French, Medecins Sans Frontieres). Some of my hobbies include music (I play the piano), writing poetry, reading, and art. I also enjoy playing sports and being outdoors.

I am an undergraduate studying Molecular Biology at Princeton. I tutored quite frequently while in high school, and greatly enjoy teaching, especially in science and history. I love working in the lab of which I am a member at Princeton. There, I study the molecular biology of Hepatitis B Virus, a major pathogen which can exacerbate infection with Hepatitis B Virus.

I am a computer science undergraduate at Princeton University with a passion for technology. I enjoy tutoring because I myself struggled with comprehension starting in elementary school, and so I want to offer clarification and make the academic process easier for others. I am most comfortable tutoring STEM subjects, and I most enjoy helping students with computer science. I led high school coding classes as part of the Girls Who Code club at my local library, and I've also tutored a range of students at a local tutoring center and served as a teaching assistant for a math class at the Academic Talent Development Program at UC Berkeley. I love to dance and read articles, and I hope to work in a tech company such as Facebook or Google when I graduate.
