As a first generation student, I was taught by my mother that education makes the greatest impact on anybody’s life. Through my mother, having had no formal education, I witnessed the struggle a lack of education can cause, but I thank my mom for instilling in me an endless love for learning. As I went through primary education, my mother did as well, right by my side. We tutored each other and spent countless hours over grammar and math worksheets, trying new techniques that stuck and made sense. My mother wasn’t just being a good mom, but she was my peer, my best friend, and my mentor. With her, I realized not only how important education is, but how valuable and necessary an individualized education is. I tutored kids of all ages frequently in high school with a variety of organizations, and I loved being part of their educational journey. My work background and coursework have supplied me with many skills and an understanding of dealing with the adolescent community. As an enthusiastic Princeton undergraduate, I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to tutor in the Princeton area! I look forward to working with students to develop an individualized approach by drawing upon their strengths and formulating a personalized path to their education. I enjoy tutoring math and science the most, as I am a Neuroscience major. Aside from school, I love to bike, do yoga, and work with artistic mediums.

I've been tutoring since middle school in Brazil. In high school I was chosen to tutor my peers, tutor for Math and Sciences Olympiads, and to act as an assistant in math classes. I started private tutoring during the end of my high school career, and I kept tutoring during college, specially for the Brazilian College admission exams. I love tutoring because I can share my passion for knowledge with my students, and it is very rewarding to see that passion being transmitted. To do that, I am very committed to understanding the students' needs and interests. By getting to know my students, I can make him or her understand the importance of what is being studied. I enjoy figure skating, piano playing, and arts in general. I am working to build a research career to develop the way we can mathematically model human behavior.

Education has always been an important part of my life, because I truly believe we can fix a majority of the worlds problems through innovating education. This idea has led me to pursue a number of teaching roles to further understand and address the gaps in our education system. I've been a teaching assistant at one of NYCs only bilingual schools (P.S.184), junior instructor teaching kids to code, and am currently building programming, engineering, and entrepreneurship curricula for multiple learning centers. I believe students can only truly learn by reaching their own level of understanding through inquisitive thought and by embracing failure. It is up to the mentor to serve only as a catalyst in this process.
