I first started my tutoring career in the 7th grade, when I volunteered at the Booker T. Washington school in New York City. Though early on in my academic career, I supervised and tutored young children, helping them with their nightly homework. Years and programs have gone by, but my sentiment is largely the same. No matter where you are in your academic career, and no matter how good you are in the material, tutoring can always help. I strongly believe in that mantra, and was the beneficiary of it throughout my middle school, high school, and college years. Such a simple request -- asking for help -- can do wonders. It has allowed me to succeed and thrive in my boarding school environment and continues to help me in my collegiate career. And with every bit of help I receive, I am eager to return the favor. For the past several years, I have tutored in public schools, for private employers, and in my respective middle and high schools. Princeton Tutoring is another wonderful institution that allows a platform for tutoring and learning, and I am eager to help in any way I can.

I'm just a humble girl from the college town of Amherst, Massachusetts. My specific interests include machine intelligence, technology policy, and the New England Patriots (ask me how I feel about Tom Brady). My greatest and life-shapingest interest, computer science, was nurtured by an amazing programming teacher in high school who encouraged me to keep learning, even when I felt like everyone around me knew it all already. I became a tutor because I want every young person to have the same chance that I did to find and pursue their passion.

Hello! I'm excited to tutor with Princeton Tutoring! In the past at high school, I tutored middle school age to high school age students in diverse subjects, including the SAT, math, science, and music. I especially enjoyed math and would be excited to tutor from subjects as early as middle school math to multivariable calculus and linear algebra. At Princeton, my interests lie in programming and computer science theory, especially in subfields such as machine learning. I have worked as a programmer at the Air Force Institute of Technology, and this summer I am headed to intern as a software engineer at SpaceX. I hope to work in the tech industry in the future.

Honor Roll, 2nd Place in Math Olympiad (Dniepropetrovsk, Ukraine, 8th Grade),
I am originally from Ukraine. Currently, I am teaching Calculus, Honors Calculus, and AP Calculus BC, and Honors Algebra II at a college preparatory school in Lawrenceville. I also have taught Honors Geometry and Precalculus in the past. I love mathematics. (Living with my mother who is a math teacher, I grew up in a world filled with rulers and protractors). I earned a "Recognition of Excellence" letter from the Praxis Administration for my score on the Praxis II "Mathematics Content" test. Being a hard working individual, I welcome the opportunity to share my knowledge in mathematics.

Hello All! I am a graduate of Tufts University, class of 2015. I majored in Economics and Biopsychology, which highlights my wide range of academic interests. I will be attending William & Mary Law School in Fall 2017. During the years in between, I worked as a paralegal for a large securities law firm in New York City. I have been very interested in law since beginning my undergraduate career, and I am excited to continue exploring that subject in the near future. Teaching and mentoring young students has always been something I enjoy. As an Eagle Scout, I mentored younger scouts through the ranks, serving as a teacher and guide as they progressed in scouting. That meant teaching not only first aid and fire-building, but also the values of teamwork, preparation, and respect. I have also had classroom teaching experience with Peer Health Exchange. I traveled to public high schools in the Boston area, teaching health education to students from 9th-12th grade. This really helped me understand the classroom atmosphere, and challenged me to connect with students with experiences vastly different from my own. You need to respect the student, but also ensure that you stay on task and project authority. As I mentioned previously, I have experience in a wide range of subjects. My strongest subjects are Economics, Math, Biology, Psychology, Chemistry, English, and any test preparation necessary. With students, I like to see where they are individually and try to focus on instilling discipline and belief first. As a tutor, I am a stepping stool for your child to reach their potential, and I want to make sure that the student has an independent grasp of concepts before moving forward in any subject. I look forward to hearing from you!
