Our recruiting process is more rigorous than that of any other tutoring company. Each of our tutors is tested through live case-study questions to simulate actual tutoring questions and situations. Through this process, we determine the tutor’s true handle on the subject material, teaching style, communication skills, and ability to think quickly on their feet.
Through our selection and testing process, we are able to cultivate tutors who possess all of the following attributes:
Our tutors are the brightest college students and graduates in the nation.
They are high school valedictorians, National Merit Finalists, and National AP Scholars. They are Princeton Dean’s List recipients and departmental prize winners. They are published fiction, poetry, and academic journal writers with numerous writing awards. They are national math competition winners, are fluent in multiple languages, and have collected local, national, and international accolades too numerous to list here.
There is a significant difference between knowing the material and being able to teach it. Our tutors are great communicators and have proven themselves able teachers. Several intend to pursue careers in teaching upon graduating.
They have conducted independent study and research in education, and have studied various learning and teaching techniques. They all have private tutoring experience, but have also done live classroom instruction with both small and large groups.
Our tutors have a genuine passion for teaching. Outside of Princeton Tutoring, our tutors volunteer with organizations serving underprivileged and at-risk children. They teach ESL, and are teaching assistants, tennis and track coaches, and dance instructors.
A tutoring relationship will only be successful if your child is comfortable with their tutor. We evaluate a tutor’s ability to relate to their students by considering their personality, leadership qualities, and well roundedness.
Our tutors are former and current mentors and peer counselors. They have founded campus organizations and school magazines. They are actively involved in community service, and have been recognized by organizations such as the UN for their work. They are varsity athletes and team captains in tennis, track and field, cross country, field hockey, soccer, and crew. They are accomplished dancers, clarinetists, and flutists. In short, they are top-notch mentors for your child.
